The Rocky Horror Picture Show

How’d you do I — see you met my — faithful — handyman.
You know right away this handyman isn’t like the handyman James Taylor sang about in the ’70s. You also should realize this horror movie isn’t going to be like all the others since Tim Curry (as the outrageous Dr. Frankenfurter) is singing these lyrics while dressed in a bustier, high heels and fishnet stockings.
This campy gender-bending flick became a cult classic and staple of midnight movies for years before being released on DVD — and for good reason. There are multiple layers of weirdness and amusement in this musical that features catchy songs and lyrics such as “touch-a touch-a touch me, I want to be dirty.”
It’s freaky, it’s entertaining, and if you know what to yell at the screen — yes, if you haven’t had the communal screamfest experience there is a whole set of lines developed by audiences to yell at the screen — this movie is more fun than a barrel full of boas (the feathery kind).
The cast, the story and the music are incredible. Watch it. (100 min.)
