Norah Jones brings her sultry vibe to the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville for this concert recorded in 2004. Jones favorites such as “What Am I to You?,”
“Sunrise” and “In the Morning” are joined with others including John Prine’s “That’s the Way the World Goes ‘Round,” “Loretta” written by Townes Van Zandt and The Band classic “Life’s a Carnival” written by Richard Danko, Levon Helm and Robbie Robertson.
The extras shouldn’t be missed, as they include Jones’ big hit “Come Away with Me” and the Graham Parsons hit “She.” Music videos for “Those Sweet Words” and “What am I to You?” are on the DVD, which also boasts three mini-documentaries: “The Handsome Band Bio: From the Beginning,” “24 Hours on the Handsome Bus” and “Robbie and Adam’s Guitar Tour.”
Handsome Band members are Daru Oda, Adam Levy, Andrew Borger, Robbie McIntosh and Lee Alexander. They are joined onstage by guests Dolly Parton (after all, they are playing the original home of the Grand Ole Opry), Gillian Welch, David Rawlings, Richard Julian (previously toured with the Handsome Band) and Kevin Breit. (123 min.)
