In Bruges

Take a medieval town in Belgium add Irish and English hit men, a girl, a dwarf and a lot of profanity and you get “In Bruges.” This dark, dramatic comedy is one of the best movies of the year, and certainly Colin Farrell’s (Ray) best ever. Brendan Bleeson (Ken), Ralph Fiennes (Harry Walters) and Jordan Prentice (Jimmy) also turned in stellar performances.
With a mixture of action and philosophical exchanges, the movie becomes an unlikely tourist brochure for fairly tale-like town of Bruges. (107 min.)
The DVD bonus section has deleted scenes that were deleted for good reason. The “Gag Reel” isn’t very funny. However, the “making of” segment is interesting and river tour of the city enchanting. “F**king Bruges” is f**king funny.
